It offers the Cambridge International Examinations from Primary through Secondary. Cambridge is the world's largest provider of International Education Programmes and Qualifications for 5 to 19 year olds.

 

Curriculum

Cambridge Primary curriculum framework for Grades I- V includes three core subjects English, Mathematics and Science. This programme enables learners to communicate confidently and effectively develops; the critical thinking and creative thinking skills. Learners who follow this curriculum framework will develop competency in English based on a curriculum designed to be successful in any culture and to promote cross-cultural understanding. In addition to core subjects students pursue a second language (French or Hindi), Social Science (Indian & International elements along with Peace Education). Students of Grades 5 – 8 will pursue a third language as well.

 

Co-scholastic subjects include Art & Craft, Music, Dance, ICT Starters (prescribed by Cambridge), GAIT and Leap Start . In addition to the Co-scholastic subjects a wide range of co-curricular options like Martial Arts- Taekwondo, Newton's Club, Shakespeare Club, Lego Club, and Tennis are offered.

Enrichment Program – GAIT

GAIT (Grooming Artistic Innovation and Talent) is  a first of its kind creative movement education program in India. GAIT enables children discover their creative potential, using movement as a medium of expression. Elements of dance and theatre are used to stimulate innovative thinking. By introducing the dimension of performing arts in education, GAIT assists in the overall development of a child with a focus on creative, physical, cognitive, emotional and social aspects.

 

GAIT FOSTERS INDEPENDENT CREATIVE THINKING. Children need to experience the unpredictable and the uncertain to get creative. They need lessons with element of surprise. For Cambridge Primary students grade wise curriculum is conceptualized, keeping in mind age appropriate developmental requirements of children. Enrichment Program – Leap Start

The Leap Start Kindergarten to Grade 5 Programme for the primary grades introduces standards based, developmentally appropriate activities to students. Some of the major objectives of this programme include body and spatial awareness. Loco motor and non- loco motor skills, directionality, pathways levels and tempos balance: small and large objects, manipulation, flexibility, agility and strength.

 

Leap Start activities include Volley Ball, Hockey, Basket Ball, Football, Base Ball, Broom Ball, Nitro Ball and many more.

The key objectives for the secondary program are to ensure that every child evolves as an independent inquirer who can communicate his thoughts effectively and with confidence. Curriculum

The IGCSE is an extensive two year program for Grades 9 and  10. It is an interesting program which enables the child to apply the facts learnt in subjects. Curriculum enables the student to acquire 21st century skills of critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving§ ability,  effective communication. The Cambridge portfolio of !GCSE  qualifications  provide  a solid foundation for higher level courses such as GCE Advanced  Subsidiary and Advanced  Levels  (AS Level and A Level), and the  International Baccalaureate  Diploma  ( IB Dip)  as well as excellent preparation for employment.


GCIS offers both IGCSE and ICE options. A student who takes a minimum of 5 subjects qualifies for IGCSE certificate. ICE (International Certificate of Education) is awarded to students who opt 7 subjects, including two languages and one subject from the subject groups mentioned.
